Inside Holocron Pro

history

Holocron Pro was founded about November 16, 2005 by Daniel Malneritch of Killer Kudo and Robert Christopher as a movie production studio. The original name chosen was Holocron Productions which was official for a short time. It was then discovered that another organization existed that already had that name. Even though the two were in completely different fields we changed our name to Holocron Pro.

Our first project was “Project Alpha,” which is still around, but it has an interesting history. Work began on the project with a story set in the New Jedi Order era of Star Wars. The start of a script was drafted and then things came to a halt. At the time we just didn’t have the resources to continue and the story wasn’t outlined at all. The project sat dormant for a while. In the meantime, Holocron Pro started to absorb Killer Kudo with its blogging and podcasting, and by the end of 2007, the Killer Kudo Website finally went offline.

Project Alpha was picked up again around a year after it was initially conceived. It is now currently progressing much better and has a major change to the story line. The plot is actually outlined this time which will allow for a much better and successful story.

Connections with Killer Kudo, Net Designs Online, and Imaginate Productions

Holocron Pro was originally spun off of Killer Kudo and both were hosted on the same server with the Websites integrated as a single site. (Holocron Pro actually had only one page.) In early 2006, co-founders Daniel Malneritch and Robert Christopher joined with Daniel Sellers from Imaginate Pro and two other people to start Net Designs Online (NDO). NDO was a Web design company. In the summer of 2006, Holocron Pro actually got a full Website hosted on the Net Designs Online server and continued to leave its single page up on the Killer Kudo site. In the end, Net Designs Online was essentially absorbed by Imaginate Productions, and Holocron Pro finally got its own server. Killer Kudo is now absorbed by Holocron Pro.

Imaginate Productions and Holocron Pro now work together on many projects. The two share ideas, and Daniel Sellers, who owns Imaginate Productions, is CMO for Holocron Pro.
